Yes! We're Back!

And Here We Are

Eddie was given the thumbs up and we departed the USA on August 30.  After arriving on Thursday evening, August 31, we were given a warm reception lunch on Friday with the staff.

Our First Week

We temporarily got accommodated and rested up on Saturday in the professor’s apartment at our Patagonian Bible Institute and then on Sunday visited the fairly new church that is being planted by former student and IBP’s administrative secretary, Rocio and her husband, current student, Jonhy.  (They are also pictured above with our staff.) How awesome to see what has come out of their hard work and dedication.

It was pastor appreciation day and the congregation was being encouraged to help their pastors and to pray for them just as Aaron and Hur held up Moses' arms when he grew tired.

 More Traveling

We hardly had a chance to get over jet lag when were already on the road again.  This time to what we would call in the states, district council.  Their “Convención Regional” was held about 14 hours south of us in the city of Rio Gallegos.  What a joy to see so many familiar faces and to reconnect with IBP grads and pastors after being gone for over a year and a half.

Our Bible school held a tea at a nearby church for alumni, students, staff and professors.  The small hall was filled to overflowing.  What was so awesome was seeing so many of the young people who we’ve had as students over the years, pastoring and serving God in ministry.

Just in Time

After returning from convention, we received the news that our friends and current directors, Martin and Charlotte Jacobson, had to make an urgent and unexpected trip to the states.  They would leave immediately and not return until the end of October.   We are so thankful that God allowed us to get back here in time to support them and take the wheel at this crucial juncture at IBP.  Everything was gearing up for the coming bimester.  Things were really starting to get busy with all of the final preparations that were needing to be attended to before the students would begin to arrive.  Thank the Lord for his faithfulness and for his provision!
